Sarasota Area Sports Authority

Founded in 2001, the Sarasota Area Sports Authority (SASA), is a 501 c 3, non-profit organization whose mission is to provide community outreach and awareness of sports programs and events in the Sarasota area.

SASA works closely with community leaders, government agencies and local businesses to assist in building awareness of Sarasota as a community committed to furthering sports programs both locally and regionally.

2010 College Grant Applications
DEADLINE EXTENDED
now being accepted until May 11, 2010

Sarasota County male or female senior amateur athletes with demonstrated athletic commitment and financial need to attend college. Applicants must be planning to attend college in Fall 2010 and will be required to submit acceptance letter from a two or four-year accredited college along with a class schedule or other proof of enrollment to receive the scholarship.

A limited number of $500 scholarships are available. All information noted under “Criteria” must be provided along with a signed application form. Upon acceptance, each student’s scholarship will be submitted directly to the student athlete for educational expenses.
